Callum MacKinnon

Founder & Executive Director

“I love being an Occupational Therapist because you are able to help people do things that actually mean something to them, instead of ‘fixing’ something or someone”
(RCOT newsletter email – October 2020)

Callum founded bOunceT in 2017, the same year he graduated from GCU and registered with HCPC as an Occupational Therapist. He also has a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Studies.

Callum certified as a Sensory Integration Practitioner in June 2021, with a PGCert (Post Graduate Certificate) from Sheffield Hallam University. In addition to this, Callum continues to study MSc (Post-Reg) Advancing Practice in Occupational Therapy part-time at Queen Margaret University.

Previously, Callum has worked as a Personal Assistant with ENABLE Scotland & worked 4 different summers abroad in Upstate New York, USA, at a disability summer camp: Camp Loyaltown.

Callum is currently Vice Chair for RCOT SSPLD – the Royal College of Occupational Therapists Specialist Section for People with Learning Disabilities.

More recently, Callum acted as Lead Therapist within an NIHR clinical trial, Managing Repetitive Behaviours (MRB) with NHS Lothian and University of Edinburgh.

Fiona Ross

Fiona is a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist working with us at bOunceT x1 day per week.

She is currently supporting our Occupational Therapy team with implementing new processes and guidelines for our rebound therapy/ therapeutic play sessions – and new services like OT On Call!

I qualified in 1995 from RGU and have 24 yrs experience working with children and their families. Majority of this time has been within the NHS but had a few years working for a private company in Singapore. I have a special interest in sensory processing & sensory differences.

Eliza Grier

Service Journey Officer

Eliza joined the Operational Leadership Team at bOunceT in September 2021!

In a nutshell, Eliza’s role is to ensure all individuals with disabilities, and their families/carers, receive the best experience possible during their ‘journey’ with us as a service.

Previously, Eliza has worked in the third sector since she was 16 – initially in support work roles then in management across diverse care settings and client groups for the past 10 years. She previously studied a BA in Childhood Practice at Strathclyde University and undertook an SVQ4 in Social Care – Children and Young People on a workplace college programme with SIRCC.

Eliza has also successfully completed her PDA and further management qualifications in order to lead teams to deliver high quality care and support.

I love working directly with people and seeing how professional input can have a lasting impact for individuals and their loved ones. I have been interested in the work at bOunceT from the very first business plan Callum drafted and have been a professional advisor to the Board for the past year.

Euan Scott

Occupational Therapist (Part-Time)

Euan is an Occupational Therapist who recently graduated from Queen Margaret University. While at bOunceT Euan’s focus is mainly on the 1:1 parent & carer coaching service. He currently works one day a week here (Wednesdays) but hopes to support as many families as he can in this time.

“I am very passionate about the use of meaningful occupation in supporting people’s well-being and health. In my final year of study, I was lucky enough to be introduced to bOunceT as a service. After finishing the placement at bOunceT I kept in touch with Callum and the team. I am now really excited to be working with them in a professional capacity.”
